Recreation Manager

This is an opportunity to join the management team of a prestigious sports and social club situated in the pleasant Gulf state of Qatar. The successful candidate will have overall management control for the whole physical recreation side of the business. This covers Gyms, Swimming Pools, Massage Therapy and indoor Tennis Courts. You will be expected to develop and implement policies and procedures that are relevant and necessary to the smooth running of this busy department. By creating new recreation activities and programmes you will maintain member satisfaction and create new business opportunities with the department. You will be expected to monitor and maintain high standards of safety within the Recreation Department and ensure that all staff are trained and developed to their maximum potential. We are looking for a graduate in Sports Studies or a closely related field with at least 5 years post-graduation experience in a sports or recreation environment and with good practical experience of the most popular types of gym equipment. You will have an analytical mind and will be be a team player with excellent customer service skills. Your confident, outgoing personality will allow you to deal with any members problems that may arise. You should also be proficient at gathering data and preparing concise, accurate written reports for Senior Management.
